A farmer has just visited a local market and has bought a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage. However, the shortest way home involves a river crossing, and the farmer has a very small boat, which can only carry the farmer and one of the purchases.
Only the farmer can row the boat.
If the farmer leaves the wolf alone with the goat, you can imagine what might happen.
Similarly, the goat would love to be left alone with the cabbage!
How does the the farmer get everything to the other side of the river safe and sound?

I think he should carry his cabbage on his lap and that won’t cause any damage then carry over the wolf with the cabbage on his lap and leave the wolf on the other side then bring the goat with the cabbage on the boat with him and if that didn’t work then bring them home I guess sometimes you’ve got to sacrifice a little to save alat
bring the goat first
go back and get the cabbage
take the cabbage out and bring the goat back on the boat
leave the goat and bring the wolf
and then go back and get the goat
He said the shortest way so that is only one way so thetre must be other ways to go.
So he can probably walk around the outside of the lake
First he brings the goat over ,then the goat cant eat the cabbage and the wolf cant eat the goat plus wolves wont eat cabbage .
Then the farmer brings over the wolf and on the way back he brings the goat over to the side that the cabbage is on. Then the farmer brings the cabbage over to the wolfs side so the goat cant eat the cabbage and the wolf wont eat the cabbage. Finally the farmer brings over the goat and then they can go home.

Farmer takes goat across then he takes the wolf across
Farmer brings goat back and then takes the cabbage back to the wolf, and then returns for goat
bring the goat across
come back ,bring the cabbage across
come back with the goat
bring the wolf across
go back and bring the goat across
Sorry Ms Roughneen this is my real answer: He takes the goat across first. Goes back for the wolf…drops the wolf the other side. Picks up the goat again and drops him the other side. Picks up the cabbage drops it the other side with the wolf. And goes back for the goat.
First the farmer brings over the goat and leaves it at the other side.
He then goes back and gets the cabbage and brings it across.
Next he brings the goat back and gets the wolf.
He then brings the wolf across and leaves it there. He goes back and gets the goat.
That is how he does it

Bring the goat over to the other side paddle back and take the cabbage bring the cabbage to where the goat is leave the cabbage there put the goat back into the boat paddle back put the goat there and put the wolf in the boat paddle back to where the cabbage is leave the wolf there and paddle back and put the goat in the boat and paddle across all of the animals are now across.
Bring the goat across first then paddle back get the cabbage bring that across then put the goat back in the boat paddle back put the goat there ang bring the wolf across paddle back again put the goat in the boat and you have all the purchases across as well as the farmer
First take the goat then the cabbage then the wolf
Farmer brings the goat over then he brings over the wolf and brings the goat back with him. He leaves the goat and brings over the cabbage. He then goes back and brings the goat.
First he brings the goat across, he then returns and picks up the wolf and brings the wolf across aswell, but since he can’t leave the wolf and the goat alone he brings back the goat and leaves him there, then he brings the cabbage across leaves it there and goes back for the goat and brings him across aswell.
answer= the farmer could eat the cabbage and bring the dog and can go back for the goat
Nice try, but no!
