Our annual sports day took place last week and we were very lucky with the weather. We had lots of different races and activities throughout the day with novelty races always proving very popular including the wheelbarrow race, egg & spoon race, teddy bear race, newspaper race, three-legged race and sack race. We fell over, got up and maybe fell over again which is all part of the fun in reaching the finish line in the novelty races! It was great to see such sporting spirit among pupils particularly as they encrouaged and cheered on their classmates. Cillian in 6th class kindly treated the whole school to ice-cream and crisps which was a welcome treat in the afternoon! Please take a look at some photos from the day below.
