The Amber Flag committee organised a very successful and enjoyable well being day for all classes on the 30th of April as part of work towards achieving the Pieta Amber Flag. This year Pieta requested all applicant schools make a donation to the charity and it was decided to hold Wear Your Favourite Colours on that date. Thank you to all who contributed with €140.50 raise for Pieta. All classes took part in a variety of different activities throughout the day including playing board games, making friendship braclelets, yoga, a personalised art activity, outdoor games, Gaelic football and hurling. Thank you to Enda and Ian who led the Gaelic & hurling sessions. Staff prepared a healthy selection of food for the morning break which included fruit, cold meats, cheese, yoghurts, homemade brownbread, homemade scones, breadsticks, frubes and raisins etc.

We are delighted to be awarded the Pieta Amber flag in recognition of all work throughout the year to promote positive mental health and look forward to raising it. Well done to all pupils and especially the Amber Flag Committee led by Ms. Coyle & Ms. Chambers.
