Catholic Schools Week began on the 18th of January and this year’s theme, ‘Catholic Schools: Normal Lives, Called to Holiness,’ reminds us that the call to holiness is not just the preserve of the saints, but is God’s invitation to every single one of us, students, staff, and parents, every day, in every corner of our school communities. Each day of the week had a particular focus with pupils learning about being called to holiness through prayer, through love and friendship, in family life, through courage, service, joy and mission.

We celebrated Grandparents’ Day on Wednesday and were delighted to welcome grandparents and parents to join us in prayer to celebrate the important role grandparents play in the daily lives of their children, how they help us to become all we can be, encourage us and teach us so many important lessons. Well done to 6th class pupils who led the prayer service which was prepared by Ms. Roughneen. Refreshments were served afterwards with some lovely home baking for all gathered. Take a look at some photos from the day below.
