Our Green Schools committee chose Friday 24th of April for our Spring Clean day around the school grounds and village. Pupils on the Green Schools committee designed posters and displayed them around the school to remind all classes about our Spring Clean day and also the importance of caring for our environment.

They chose well as we had a nice dry morning for our clean up! We divided into 4 groups with a teacher and each group tidied a particular area. We put on high-vis jackets or spring clean bibs from An Táisce and each group had three different coloured bags for the different types of litter. We were amazed at some of the litter we found but hope our mornings work improved our school area and helps keep the village looking clean & tidy.
