Run Around Europe

All pupils took part in the Run around Europe Challenge last week with each classroom choosing their own European capital to run to. Each lap represented 1 km on our journey. We got off to a flying start at the beginning of the week setting a daily target once we divided out the distance of our chosen city over the 5 days.

The infants decided to run to London [597km] , pupils in 1st, 2nd and 3rd class chose Luxembourg [1,168km]and pupils in 4th, 5th & 6th chose Riga in Latvia [2,895km] which gave a pretty impressive total over the week.

Pupils discovered how to pace their run to their own ability over the week and were very disappointed with the downpour on Wednesday but we did a little bit extra the next days to make up! Well done to all the pupils!
