Junior and Senior Infants have been working together to partition sets within 5. Using the animals we first created sets of 5.  We then experimented with using these 5 animals to create two new sets.  We never realised there were so many ways to partition a set of just 5 counters!  We then took advantage of the fine weather and outside using the hula hoops we practised again the different ways of partitioning sets within 5 – this time we were like the animals!
