Science Week took place from the 9th – 16th or November and the aim of the week was to celebrate science in our every day lives. Pupils enjoyed using every day household items such as vegetable oil and food colouring to make lava lamps etc. We were fortunate to receive a Rainbow Lab kit from ATU Galway which guided pupils through a series of simple experiments. The Meet the Scientist 2025-2026 series with NUI Galway began last Wednesday and pupils in 3rd & 4th class enjoyed Dr. Michel Dugon’s (Professor In Zoology) presentation on What happens to your body when you’re bitten by a venomous snake? We look forward to joining more of the zoom sessions in the Meet the Scientist series throughout the year.
