The Junior and Senior Infant pupils have been enjoying engaging in Literacy Stations for the past few weeks.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, four different stations are set up, two teacher led with Mrs Brennan and Ms Coyle setting the activities and two independent where the children work individually or in small groups on tasks. At the stations, the children practise their reading, phonics and oral language skills. The children work on the stations for 12 minutes then when the buzzer sounds they move swiftly onto the next station. The pupils really enjoy the variety of activities they can engage in during the Station Teaching sessions, with our fun word recognition game Fiddlesticks proving particularly popular!
