We welcomed very special visitors to the school recently as Michael Roarke from Creggs & Chris Hanbury (father of All-Ireland hurler John Hanbury) brought a very impressive collection of silverware to the school.
Both the minor and senior cups, the Irish Press Cup & the Liam McCarthy cups were on display, along with the Bob O’Keefe and the League cup. Chris also showed us John’s special All-Ireland medal. The best part of all was holding the silverware and hopefully in the future some pupils will one day climb the steps of the Hogan stand to lift some of those cups again.
