Glinsk N.S. hosted the first James Shevlin Memorial Quiz on the 18th of February with teams from Creggs N.S., Kilcroan N.S., Williamstown N.S., Ardeevin N.S. Glenamaddy N.S., St. Andrews N.S. and Glinsk N.S. taking part. Thank you to Carmel, Damien & Sarah, Aidan & Martina, Jaimie, Adam & Jude Shevlin for being present at the quiz and making the presentations.

Sonny Geraghty & Bernard Maye, representatives of St. Jarlath’s Credit Union were also present as St. Jarlath’s Credit Union generously sponsored the James Shevlin Memorial Cup and trophies for the runners-up & winning teams. Our sincere thanks to the quiz mistress, Mary O’Mahony and quiz master, Marty Ward who took charge of the quiz on the day and teachers from visiting schools who helped out with correcting quiz sheets.

It was with great pride that Glinsk N.S. won the James Shevlin Memorial Cup and Kilcroan N.S. were runners-up following a very closely contested tie-breaker round among 4 teams.
