On Wednesday, 26th of October, students from Glinsk NS competed for the first time in County Galway Cumann na mBunscol cross country athletics in Renmore Pitch. Our three teams did very well, with Aoibhe, Nichola and Emma finishing within the top 40 in their events. Schools were allowed to enter 4 pupils in each of the four events, Junior Girls, (3rd, 4th, 5th class), Senior Girls, (6th class) and Junior Boys, ( 3rd, 4th, 5th class), Senior Boys, (6th class).

The junior teams event was 800 metres while the senior teams had to run 1000 metres. After some seriously competitive trials last week in school, our teams were picked and took part in the events with over 200 pupils from schools all over Galway on a cold and wet day. Well done to all!
