Up Galway!

On Friday the 1st of September pupils wore maroon and white in support of the Galway hurling team taking on Waterford in the All-Ireland Hurling Final at Croke Park. There was a great array of Galway jerseys, hats, headbands and home-made flags and plenty of hope that this would be Galway’s year! Pupils predicted the score for the match hoping that the Liam McCarthy would finally come west of the Shannon again after a long wait!

Tegan wearing her Kerry away kit jersey visited the school in the afternoon to share her experience of playing at Croke Park during the summer at the Cumann na mBunscol half-time exhibition match at the All-Ireland Football Kerry v Mayo semi-final. She also encouraged and inspired the teams for the coming year! Congratulations to the Galway All-Ireland Hurling winners. Gaillimh Abú!
