During Science Week 2016, Junior and Senior Infants became super scientists and carried out some exciting experiments and activities. We discovered that oil and water do not mix by making our very own lava lamps, we investigated air pressure using a jar, a tissue and a bowl of water and we watched a chemical reaction take place in creating an erupting vinegar volcano. We all enjoyed getting hands-on experience in carrying out the experiments and loved the opportunities to develop our prediction skills. Big thanks to Seán and Craig who were inspired by Science Week and brought in wonderfully prepared experiments from home to showcase for the whole class. Have a look at our photos to see the next generation of scientists hard at work!
