We made traditional St. Brigid’s crosses and the Donegal cross also with lots of help from Mr. Shevlin. The senior classes helped the infants to make their crosses. We placed all the finished crosses in front of the altar on Grandparent’s Day for the prayer service. Fr. Larry blessed all the crosses and they were ready to take home, some of which we decided to give to grandparents for their homes and others were for sheds to protect the animals as was a common practice years ago in Ireland.
