On Sunday the 17th of May, I was on my way up to Leitrim to play for Galway. I had been picked for out of the mini sevens tournament in Lough George.I was very excited. We finally pulled in at Saint Mary’s GAA grounds.
I took my gear bag out of the boot and headed oft the dressing rooms. When I walked in I saw nine other lads. They would be my teammates for the day and now the best part, my Galway kit. Cyril,our manager, gave me the number 6 and a pair of shorts and socks.
Then the final whistle blew in the junior match and it was our turn to shine. We walked on to the pitch. We got straight down to business. In the end we won 2-7 to 2-3. It was a great game. I scored 0-6 and to round it all off the Galway senior team wontoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
