We had some Origami Workshops before Christmas with Bridgie Trayers. Bridgie is a retired teacher who spent many years teaching in Sweden.
In the Junior room she showed the boys and girls how to make simple origami shapes, using simple folding techniques to make a dog and a cat. She also told some very interesting stories about the history of Origami and about teaching in Sweden.
In the Senior Room, she showed the pupils how to make a paper cup from a square of ordinary paper. It was able to hold water! Next she showed the children how to make a simple box. It was a bit tricky but everybody had “found” their box by the end!
