Lego Leagues

Pupils in the senior room are working on their FIRST Lego Leagues project with different teams taking responsibility for different parts of the project – the programming team, the design team, the building team. All pupils worked on the hydro Lego mission pieces where they built a variety of different Lego structures. They will programme their robot to move to these different location on the Lego mission mat where the robot will complete a task.

Morris an Engineer with Roscommon County Council also visited the senior room and gave a very informative and helpful presentation on water plants. We particularly liked looking at the different types of creatures that might be found in a water system!

The class have also worked on a team name for the competition day in February. Our school team will be called Go with the Flow! Take a look at some photos of more of our Lego Leagues work over the past few weeks below.
