All classes took part in a K’new workshop with Máire Kelly as part of the Galway Science & Technology roadshow for science week. Pupils worked in pairs and following some useful tips from Máire pupils began by working on the hammer or mushroom structures. Once they completed this task, pupils choose their own design to build and also used K’new motors. Pupils built many different structures including a working windmill, a three-wheeler vehicle, a moving jester and many other designs. At the end of the workshop pupils had an opportunity to race their models! Thank you to Máire for a very engaging, interesting and exciting workshop. Take a look at some photos below.
