Congratulations to the girls on winning the 9 a -side Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic championship at Loughgeorge on the 28th of May 2018. The team were promoted to this division following their county final win last year. The girls faced very tough opposition in very hot weather with both teams level on several occasions throughout the match. The Glinsk girls dug deep and despite many physical tough tackles they came out on top and really deserved this title. Well done girls.
Glinsk N.S. returned to Loughgeorge for the second time on Thursday for the boys 7 a – side county final. The team put a great effort with many fine saves by Ross in goals but unfortunately the opposition proved too strong on the day for us. It was a great achievement by the boys to reach the county final including 6th class girls who had a busy week on the pitch.
Thank you to James, Stephen and Eamon for all their help coaching the teams over the two days. We had such great support on both days and we are very grateful to all the parents, grandparents, neighbours and relatives that traveled to support both teams.
