On the 16/4/2015 we had a football blitz in Loughgeorge. We jumped into Stephen Neary’s car and the lads in third went with James Shevlin. We had to be at the school at 8:45 a.m. then we hit the road at 9:00 a.m. the girls left on the “supporters bus” with Ms. Roughneen. We arrived at Loughgeorge at 9:45 a.m. as we had to be there for 10:30 a.m. cause it started 11:00 a.m. Our starting team for that game was goalkeeper: Ruairí ó Brien, backs: Darren and Gavin Hegarty ,midfield: Morgan Neary and David Whyte and our forwards: Daniel Scappaticci and Michael Connelly and our subs: Paul Coyne and Eanna Nolan. Our first match was against Leitrim and we bet them, our second match was against Scoil Eanna we lost against them. Our last match was against Inverin and we lost against them. We then went into the dressing rooms and put on our uniform and we hit the road home disappointed but our heads held high and but we were still proud of ourselves for getting that far. After that, our teacher was so proud of us for getting that far that we got no homework. At least something good came out of that day!
