Pupils in 5th & 6th class investigated simple circuits. A bulb, a battery, 2 pieces of wire, a connector and some blu-tac or duck tape was all that was needed to make a simple circuit. One wire was connected to the positive end of the battery and also connected to the connector. The other wire was connected to the negative end of the battery and also connected to the connector. The blu-tac or duck tape kept the connector in place. Finally a bulb was screwed into the connector and it lit up! So the next time there is a storm and the electricity goes out, we know how to light up a simple circuit! ………….If we can find all the materials in the dark!
Fourth class collected up a variety of materials and investigated which ones stick to a magnet and which didn’t. They also discussed the practical uses of magnets in everyday life.
