Walk & Talk for Fitness

Glinsk Parents Association organised and hosted a sponsored walk 4 km on Monday the 4th of June. Parents and pupils completed the walk and were well looked after on the route with stewards ensuring everyone’s safety and more volunteers on hand to serve drinks and fruit at a mid-way stop along the route.

When the group returned to the school , they really looked forward to the BBQ cooked by Tony, with each marquee ready for the walkers. The food marquee had a choice of burgers, hot dogs, chips with curry sauce, plenty of cold drinks for the hot day or tea & coffee with home-made buns. The ice-cream stall was equally busy and younger children could get their face painted and all enjoyed the bouncing castles.

Presentations were made to long-serving committee members who have given very dedicated service to the Parents Association over many years and leave a great legacy to build upon and continue into the future.

Well done to the Parents Association who organised a great event which was very enjoyable and sociable for all families, relations, community ad visitors to the area. Thank you to everyone who prepared & served food, served ice-cream, did face painting, supervised the bouncing castles, donated the use of marquess, sponsored the bouncing castles, looked after the sponsorship card registration table, the raffle table, stewards on the walk and all who helped  tidying & clearing away after the day. Funds raised will be used to purchase playground equipment for the pupils.
